AIVARS
LINARTS, CFA, MBA
Aivars is a Real Estate Associate with
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Brookline.
He specializes in the sale and purchase of residential and
investment properties in Brookline and surrounding communities,
including Allston, Brighton, Jamaica Plain, Newton, Roslindale,
Roxbury, and West Roxbury.
Aivars first became involved with real
estate in 1996, when he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as
a corporate finance analyst in the firm’s Latvian
office. Among his early assignments, Aivars was working
on a number of residential and commercial property appraisals
for companies undergoing privatization. With almost 10 years
of subsequent corporate finance and investment banking industry
experience, Aivars has continued his involvement with various
real estate projects ranging from property valuations to
financing and market demographic analyses.
More recently, leveraging on his expertise
in areas of finance and investments, Aivars has developed
a proprietary asset valuation and cash flow projection model
to assist his investor clients with evaluating income producing
properties. This model analyzes cash flow characteristics
associated with a particular property enabling investors
to concentrate on activities that increase the overall value
of the asset. To aid in the decision making, the model gauges
the financial performance of the proposed investment through
indicators such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present
Value (NPV), Cash-On-Cash Return, Capitalization Rate, and
Debt Coverage Ratio.
Throughout his professional career, Aivars
has provided sound financial advice to executives and senior
management of some of the leading companies in their respective
fields. As a result, Aivars has developed a unique blend
of interpersonal as well as financial skills that are indispensable
in his current real estate practice. He continues to apply
his keen sense of professionalism for the benefit of his
customers and clients.
Aivars holds a Bachelor of Science degree
in Finance from Bentley College and a Master of Business
Administration (MBA) from the Business Weeks’ Top
10 ranking corporate finance program at Indiana University.
Aivars also has earned a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
designation, which is globally recognized as the definitive
standard for measuring competence and integrity in the fields
of portfolio management and investment analysis. He is fluent
in three languages: Latvian, Russian and English.
Aivars currently lives in Brookline,
Massachusetts, where he’s actively involved with the
Latvian community. He continuously supports and volunteers
for various charitable events, including the Cape Cod Marathon,
Community Servings, the WGBH Telethon and others. A person
of eclectic interests, Aivars is passionate about Latin
dancing, skiing, tennis, world travel, and other cultures.

JANICE
PROVENCHER
As a 30-year resident of Boston and Brookline,
Janice feels fortunate to have the opportunity to blend
her community volunteerism and business skills together.
Her early years, following graduation from Northeastern
University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration,
taught her the importance of using her business skills outside
of work. Accounting knowledge and organizational abilities
have allowed her to play a leadership role in a newly formed
neighborhood association in Brighton’s Cleveland Circle.
The grass root efforts to fundraise, organize beautification
projects and petition for resident parking were the hallmarks
for improving the quality of life for resident owners and
renters.
Even today, Janice continues to grow and
combine formal training with practical knowledge: during
her 18 years of service as the Director of Finance and Personnel
at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, Janice
has had the privilege to support the learning environment
of an arts community. Creating the support structure for
budgets, personnel, and facilities management allowed thousands
of students and faculty to hone their craft and skills in
music, visual, and theatre arts. The college’s collective
creative energy and Janice’s efforts to facilitate
their success was synergy at its best.
Janice’s commitment to community
continues with support to local arts and environmental issues.
As a board member of the Friends of Hall’s Pond, Janice
organizes community workdays twice a year to aid in the
care of Hall’s Pond nature sanctuary, which, drawing
on fellow friends’ volunteers, often offers an educational
component to children and teen volunteers.
The transition to real estate sales for
Janice has been an easy one. Coldwell Banker Residential
Brokerage affords her the ability to offer the best to her
buyers and sellers. With knowledge of the market place and
the community-at-large Janice says “it is a pleasure
to offer my clients the best service with the best choices
in single-family homes and condominiums”. MINDAUGAS
